General

What does TransNova Logistics L.L.C actually do?

We are a freight forwarder. We do not own the aircraft or the vessels — we book space on them, handle the paperwork, move your cargo to and from the terminal and stay accountable for the shipment from pickup to final handover.

Which countries do you cover?

Our own office is in Dubai, and we book origin and destination services worldwide through a partner network. Our heaviest lanes are the Gulf, the Indian subcontinent, East and Southeast Asia, Europe and East Africa.

Do you work with small businesses or only large shippers?

Both. Door-to-door handles single documents and parcels, and LCL covers anything from one pallet upward. Small and frequent is a normal pattern for us, not an exception.

How do I get started?

Send a quote request with origin, destination, approximate weight and dimensions, and the date it needs to arrive. That is enough to come back with a real number; we will ask if we need more.

Quotes And Pricing

How quickly can you quote a shipment?

Most quotes go back the same working day. Air and door-to-door bookings on our core lanes can usually be confirmed within a couple of hours; ocean quotes involving consolidation or special equipment may take until the next morning.

What does a quote include?

Freight, terminal handling, documentation and our fee, itemised so you can see each line. Duties and taxes are shown separately as an estimate because they depend on the final classification and declared value.

Are duties and taxes included in the price?

No — they are shown as a separate estimate. We can tell you the likely landed cost up front, but the final figure is set by the customs authority against the declared value and HS code.

Will I be charged for storage or demurrage?

Only if cargo sits beyond the free time at the terminal, and we will warn you before that happens. Where a delay is on our side, the cost is ours.

Is there a minimum shipment size?

No. There is no floor on door-to-door, and LCL starts at a single pallet.

How long is a quote valid?

Air and door-to-door rates typically hold for seven days; ocean rates for two weeks or to the end of the month, whichever comes first. Volatile lanes are quoted with the validity stated on the offer.

Air Freight

How fast is air freight?

Typically 24 to 48 hours airport to airport on our core lanes, plus collection and clearance at each end. Consolidated air is slower but cheaper if you can trade a day for a better rate.

What is the booking cut-off?

Same-day for priority freight if the cargo is ready and the paperwork is clean. Cut-offs tighten around weekends and public holidays at either end of the lane.

Can you handle dangerous goods by air?

Yes, under IATA regulations with the correct declarations and packing. Tell us the UN number and class when you request the quote so we book the right service from the start.

Do you ship temperature-sensitive cargo?

Yes. We arrange cold-chain handling and active or passive containers for pharmaceuticals and perishables, with the handover points agreed before the cargo moves.

Sea Freight

What is the difference between FCL and LCL?

FCL means you take a whole container; LCL means your cargo shares one with other shippers. FCL is usually cheaper per cubic metre once you are past roughly half a container, and it removes a consolidation step.

How long does ocean freight take?

It depends entirely on the lane. We quote a realistic transit rather than the carrier's best case, so you can plan inventory around it instead of around a marketing number.

Do you handle oversized or out-of-gauge cargo?

Yes — flat rack, open top and breakbulk are all available. Send dimensions and weight early, because the equipment often needs booking further ahead than the space does.

What happens if my container is rolled?

You hear it from us with the reason and the next available sailing. Where there is a recovery option — a different vessel, a different service, an air upgrade on part of the load — we bring you the choice with the cost attached.

Customs Clearance

Do you handle customs, or is that on me?

We handle it. Our licensed brokers prepare and lodge the declaration, advise on classification and duty exposure up front, and deal with the authority directly on queries and inspections.

What documents do you need from me?

Commercial invoice, packing list and, depending on the goods and route, a certificate of origin plus any product-specific permits or certificates. We will tell you exactly which apply before the cargo moves.

What is an HS code and why does it matter?

It is the international classification that determines your duty rate. Get it right and landed cost is predictable; get it wrong and you are arguing about what your product is while the cargo sits in a bonded warehouse.

What if my shipment is selected for inspection?

We manage it, attend where required and keep you updated. Most inspections clear in a day or two when the documentation matches the goods.

Can you clear cargo another carrier moved?

Yes. Clearance is available as a standalone service — you keep your existing carrier relationship and we handle only the declaration and release.

Door To Door And Last Mile

What is the difference between door-to-door and freight?

Door-to-door is a single tracked service priced by weight band — right for documents, samples, spares and e-commerce orders. Freight is priced by volume and routed through terminals, which is cheaper once you are shipping pallets.

Do you offer same-day delivery?

Within Dubai and the surrounding emirates, yes. Between cities and across borders we offer next-day and economy tiers depending on the lane.

Can you handle e-commerce returns?

Yes — bulk manifests, return labels and consolidated inbound are all supported, with one monthly invoice rather than one per parcel.

Do I get proof of delivery?

Every door-to-door delivery captures a signature and a photo, both visible on the tracking record and exportable if you need to forward it to your own customer.

Tracking And Support

How do I track my shipment?

You get a reference at booking that shows live status and the current ETA. For ocean and air we also push milestone updates so you are not checking a screen to find out nothing has changed.

Who do I contact if something goes wrong?

Your named coordinator, who owns your file from booking to delivery and has a briefed backup for holidays. You will not be repeating your story to a general queue.

What happens if my shipment is delayed?

You hear it from us first, with the reason and the revised date. If there is a way to recover the schedule we bring you the option and what it costs, rather than presenting the delay as final.

Do you offer cargo insurance?

Yes, as all-risk marine cargo cover arranged per shipment or as an annual policy. Carrier liability alone is limited by weight and rarely reflects what your goods are actually worth, so we recommend it for anything of value.
